Good news, girls. Justin Bieber has added over 30 new tour dates to the second leg of his “My World” tour. The tween sensation, who played three songs on the Today Show this morning, will now continue his trek through December. The tour’s first leg kicks off on June 23 in Hartford, CT, and the second leg will pick up again on September 5 in Timonium, MD.
Bieber talked to Today Show host Matt Lauer before performing. When Lauer asked the pop star where he sees himself in five years, Bieber said, “I want to be an artist that doesn’t just come out with one song and they’re done. I want to be able to, you know, like you said, have longevity– have my fans grow with me and not just be a teen artist but kind of move up and be an adult artist.”
He also mentioned the upcoming tour, helpfully saying, “It starts in like a couple of weeks, so I’m really excited. There’s going to be a lot of lights and a lot of, like, magic stuff, which is going to be cool.”
Thankfully you can go check out all the “magic stuff” on the tour for the next six months.

Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience tour takes tribute across North America

September 2nd, 2010

The son of the late, legendary Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham will commemorate the 30th anniversary of his father’s death with a tribute tour across North America this fall.

Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience launches October 8 at EnCana Event Centre in Dawson Creek, BC, and concludes November 29 at the Centre for Performing Arts in Vancouver, BC. The musician has followed in his father’s footsteps as a drummer, even playing for Led Zeppelin’s one-off reunion concert at London’s O2 Arena in 2007.

The 31-date itinerary splits its time between U.S. and Canadian markets. National stops include October 20 at Riverside Theatre in Milwaukee, WI; November 2 at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, MA; and November 8 at the Nokia Theatre in New York, NY. North of the border, highlighted gigs include October 17 at MTS Centre in Winnipeg, MB, and October 29 at the Sony Centre for Performing Arts in Toronto, ON.

In a recent interview with Fox News, Bonham revealed that the tour will hinge around his personal recollections of his father and the other original Zeppelin members. “When I do a certain song, there’s a reason for it, there’s a story behind it,” Bonham explained in the segment. “My first memories as a child are of Led Zeppelin because they’ve been a part of my life.”

Bonham’s backing band for the venture has not been announced. In his segment on Fox, the drummer noted that he doesn’t want concert-goers to have any preconceived notions of what the live band will sound like.
